SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine (WMTW) - A South Portland convenience store was closed Saturday morning after firefighters say a driver slammed into the building.

Broadway One Stop had to close, but managers tell firefighters they will open sometime Saturday afternoon.

The woman driving said her foot slipped on the brake and it was an accident. She suffered minor injuries.

The crash happened around 8:30 a.m.

No one else was hurt. The store suffered significant damage.
