BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - A Veterans Day Celebration will be held at the Cole Land Transportation Museum in Bangor Sunday.
Students interviewed veterans and wrote essays about the experience.
Those essays were submitted for a contest, and this Sunday, the winners will read them aloud.
But that's not all that's happening.
Executive Director of the museum says, "At 1pm, we have the essay contest awards, and at 2pm, the Bangor Community Band comes and plays a patriotic ensemble. We also have the Secretary of State coming to unveil the new veteran's license plate this year."
Veterans Day is the last day the museum will be open for the season.
Admission is free during the event.
The Veterans Day Parade through Brewer and Bangor will be held on Monday morning starting in Brewer at 10:15.
