EASTPORT, Maine (WABI) - Four people were rescued from icy waters after their skiff overturned off the coast of Eastport.
The Coast Guard tells us around 1 p.m. Tuesday afternoon a crew of five climbed aboard a skiff after mooring their scalloping boat.
The skiff overturned.
One person swam to shore and called for help.
The four others were picked up by responders from Coast Guard Station Eastport that launched two vessels for the rescue.
The crew was taken to a hospital.
Their condition is unknown but authorities believe no one suffered injuries beyond exposure to the cold.
