WATERVILLE, Maine (WABI) - Central Maine got its share of stormy weather.
It made for treacherous driving conditions Wednesday morning, but most main roads were much better for drivers by the afternoon.
Waterville Public Works Director Mark Turner tells us they started working on the roads around midnight.
"We used a heavy salt mix with our sand, so that helped to melt things a little quicker and with the temperatures being favorable, that makes it work a lot better," said Turner.
He said planning well is the key to keeping roads as safe as possible.
