Folks gathered at Elks Lodge to raise money to benefit the Humane Society Waterville Area.
It's called Mutts and Motors Car Show, with all proceeds going towards keeping the humane society open and running.
We're told they need two-hundred and fifty thousand dollars in order to stay open.
The car show was hosted by Caring Cars and Ignited Marketing Design.
"The car community here in central Maine is just amazing so we figured we would put it together for them. There is so many animals that often need help and without them, there wouldn't be anyone to help them. I mean it would put a strain on other communities and their Humane Society's and their shelters so it's really important that they stay open."
