Calvary Chapel to move services outside on Sunday

Court documents reveal the legal team representing an Orrington church that wants to hold in-person worship has been told the governor will not make any waivers or exceptions to the mandates in her Executive Order.

Leaders of Calvary Chapel are awaiting word from a federal judge about the lawsuit they have filed against Governor Mills.

The church argues the Executive Order is unconstitutional and violates freedom of religion under the First Amendment.

The pastor of the church had said earlier this week he would defy those orders and hold services inside this Sunday.

He has since changed that plan and services will be held in the parking lot.
