Brewer senior Jordan Parkhurst died in a car accident this weekend he was just 17-years-old.

He was a hockey player for the Brewer varsity and grew up playing locally in the youth program.

It's a tragic loss for the whole community.

It's a hard circumstance. We lost a great teammate and just in general a great person. He was a great kid. He got along with everyone. He was definitely one of our leaders whether it was on the ice, in the locker room or outside the rink. A great teammate and someone everyone liked being around.

Brewer had a team meeting on Sunday to gather the group...From Brewer Youth Hockey to other area teams to just hockey fans...Sticks out for Jordan this weekend to show support...A support which has been greatly appreciated by the Witches.

It's been a huge group of people who reached out and it's greatly appreciated by myself, by the hockey team, by the school. The biggest thing is to get playing and honor him by the way we play the game. We plan to do that this year. As a team and as a family we will come together and finish the year.
