Boy scouts scouting for food

SKOWHEGAN, Maine. (WABI)- The Cub Scouts at pack four-eighty-five were collecting food for the Skowhegan area food cupboard today...

They set up camp at the local Hannaford looking for donations.

Their goal was to fill a tent with as much food as possible.

Any food items could be donated including food for pets.

"There are lots of starving family and children all over the nation and in our state and we want to feed them And we don't want children to go to bed hungry. I'm hoping that it's teaching them to give to our community and help our neighbors and stick together as a family and have a good time."

Boys in the pack consist of grades one through four.
