Bill to address Acadia National Park boundary issues passed by U.S. Senate

BAR HARBOR, Maine (WABI) The U.S. Senate has passed a bill to address boundary issues near Acadia National Park.

Senators Angus King and Susan Collins helped create the bill.

It protects the rights of clammers and wormers to continue working the flats of Acadia's intertidal zones.

Harvesters have worked the Acadia mud flats for generations.

While the Park Service has come to an agreement to let these traditional harvests continue, this bill would make sure the harvest can continue into the future.
