Crash in Belfast closes Route 1 for several hours Wednesday

A crash near the Circle K convenience store in Belfast closed Route 1 for much of Wednesday afternoon.
Police tell us one car was passing another when the first car went off the road and hit a pole.
The impact knocked down power lines that blocked the road.
The pole then needed to be fixed.
Authorities say the people in the cars had only minor injuries.
