Barclaycard US to close call center in Wilton, 227 to be laid off

WILTON, Maine (WABI) The financial services company Barclaycard US is closing its call center in Wilton.

227 people will lose their jobs.

Governor Mills will be deploying a labor department rapid response team to the area to help those workers.

The Wilton Call Center had about 500 employees last July...less than half of that now and it will have no employees by the end of March.
