Bangor restaurant helps folks affected by partial government shutdown

BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - A Bangor restaurant is trying to make life easier on folks affected by the partial government shutdown.

Moe's Original BBQ is giving a deal to all TSA and Air Traffic Control employees who are working without pay.

Until the shutdown ends, they said you can buy a platter or sandwich meal for $3.

Normal prices range from $9 to $12. All you need is your ID.

Christopher Kenney, General Manager, said, "We are just trying to give back to the community, trying to do our part because we know it's tough for everybody, especially them where they aren't getting paid right now."

General Manager Christopher Kenney said he hopes other local businesses help out as well.
