BUCKSPORT, Maine (WABI) - A missing woman from Bucksport may have been spotted in some woods in Orland.

According to the Bucksport Police Department Facebook page, hunters were in the area of Great Pond Mountain yesterday when they came upon a woman matching the description of Aza Jerome.

Authorities say there was a brief interaction, then she walked away.

Several law enforcement agencies searched the area but were unable to find the woman.

56-year-old Jerome was last seen when she walked away from her Town Farm Road home a week ago Monday.

There was a fire at the house that day.

Authorities say it started in an outbuilding on the property and caused about 50-thousand dollars in damage to the home.

Aza's husband, 61-year-old Timothy Jerome was arrested when police say he would not comply with some of the things they asked of him following the fire.

Authorities say Aza Jerome is from Ukraine and not fluent in English, so she may be hesitant if approached.

If you know where she might be, call Bucksport Police at 469-7951, or local police.
