UPDATE: Missing ten-year-old child has been found

ORRINGTON, Maine (WABI) - Authorities with the Penobscot County Sherriff’s Office said, the 10-year-old Orrington boy has been found.

The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office said, they were called to Snows Corner Road in Orrington around 7:45 Sunday evening.

Multiple agencies came out to search for the boy.

Sgt. Sean McCue of the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office said, "We received some information from a motorist that they were trailing a vehicle that may have been operated by the juvenile and come to find out that was true. We ended up having a Holden officer nearby- he was able to locate the vehicle. [He] pulled in behind the vehicle, attempted to stop the vehicle, the juvenile did pull over but, it appeared as if he was going to continue so, the Holden officer boxed him and the vehicle collided."

The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office reported the car that the boy was driving was stolen from Brewer.

They say no injuries were reported and minor damages were reported to both vehicles.

According to officials, the 10-year-old was taken to the hospital for a medical evaluation and is with his parents.

His name is not being released because he is a minor.
