Army Veteran Travis Mills fondly remember Bush's

BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - Retired U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Travis Mills had several encounters with George H.W. Bush and Barbara Bush.

We asked him about his memories of the former president and first lady.

He says, "They were just great people. Very kind and humble. I went to their house. My son at, I believe it was 7 weeks old was actually being held by Barbara Bush and George was just hanging out, nodding along, having a great time, laughing at some of my jokes so that made me feel good. He was a man that I admired and I respected but at the same time he was somebody that if you really break down all 94 years of his life, he's done some incredible things. As well as, I mean come on, Barbara is phenomenal. I wouldn't mess with her. I made a joke at her expense and she was okay with it but I would never do it again."

Mills says he plans to visit with 43rd President George W. Bush at his Texas home in February.
