Nearly 75 trucks were displayed in Scarborough yesterday to help children battling chronic illnesses.

The event is coined, "Trucking for Kids Convoy" 2017.

The convoy of trucks made their way along route 1 in Scarborough.

100% of the money raised by the drivers go directly to the children camps.

"This event is to call attention to camp sunshine's needs. to try and sponsor more kids to go to camp for the summer. its a great place for the kids to go. the kids get special medical attention. get their needs taken care of while their parents get a little bit of a rest." Says Denis Litalien of the Maine Professional Driver's Association.

Organizers say they raised $15,000.
