OLD TOWN, Maine (WABI) Master Gardener Volunteers were on hand in Old Town today to help celebrate the growing season with their annual Field Day.
Hosted by the UMaine Cooperative Extension, the 3rd annual Fall Field Day held at Rogers Farm Garden features workshops, homemade food, and live music.
There was also plenty of events for the kids like a bee-hive demonstration, face painting, and a garden scavenger hunt.
Organizers say it's a great opportunity for folks to learn about their own gardens and where some of their food comes from.
"We want folks to really get connected with the research based information that the University has about horticulture so that folks can learn the best practices for their own home landscape so they can be successful."
The Rogers Farm Demonstration Garden also holds an open every Tuesday from 5:30 to 6:30 in Old Town.
