BREWER, Maine (WABI) - Dolled up girls and their dapper dates were dancing the night away in Brewer.
Brewer Parks and Recreation hosted their annual Daughter Dance. It was a packed house at Brewer Auditorium.
Girls in grades K-8 and their date, whether it be their dad, grandfather, uncle, brother or someone close to them, were all dressed up for the occasion.
Tickets to the dance were sold out with around 450 purchased.
Ken Hanscom, Director of Brewer Parks and Recreation said, "It's very important for the families to get together and to have that one special evening. We've had a lot of girls and their dads right straight through to Kindergarten to grade 6 so it's a real great time for everybody."
The event dates back to 1982.
