Chris grew up in Charlton, Massachusetts. At the age of five, he knew he either wanted to play for the Red Sox or become a meteorologist. The call from the Sox never came.
Chris has degrees from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell and the School of the Lifelong Learning at the University of New Hampshire where he studied meteorology at Plymouth State.
After working several years behind the scenes at WCVB-TV in the Boston area, Chris moved to Maine to join the WABI TV5 weather team in 1990. Chris prepares and presents the forecast on TV5 News at Five, TV5 News at Six, TV5 Prime Time News on the CW at 10pm and TV5 Late News at 11pm each weeknight.
Along with his TV duties he makes it a point to speak at civic events each year, but finds the most joy is talking about the “Science of Weather” with students at local schools. His passion has always been the science of weather and he loves Maine because of the variety of weather and the challenges the four seasons can present.
Chris has been happily married to his lovely wife Debbie for over 30 years and has a son named Chris. In his spare time, Chris enjoys playing golf, tennis and working in his yard and spending time with family and friends. He also loves watching and talking sports, especially the Red Sox, New England Patriots and University of Maine Football where his son played.
