Fort Kent wins Class C state boys basketball championship over Maranacook

AUGUSTA, Maine (WABI) - Fort Kent captured the Class C state boys basketball championship, 70-64 over Maranacook.

“It’s amazing. All the work we put in, early hours, late nights, it’s just an amazing feeling to be able to win this game with my guys. It’s just amazing to be able to put on for my county, put on for my town, just being able to pretty much live my mom’s dream. She played basketball, so I’m glad I could do this for her. God too has been with me this whole way. I’m just glad I was able to do this for them. We have an amazing supporting count,” said Aden Jeffers, junior guard.

Fort Kent’s senior class is William Morneault, Tobias Naranja, Greg Ouellette, Nathan Costonguay, Fin Kelly, Gavin Severe, and Ben Albert.
