Oceanside to meet Lawrence for Class B state girls hoops title

ROCKLAND, Maine (WABI) - Oceanside’s journey to the Class B South crown included wins over No. 10 Lake Region, No. 3 York, and No. 1 Gray-New Gloucester.

Olivia Breen and Renee Ripley have been instrumental for the Mariners.

Oceanside will face Lawrence for the state title.

“We have to make sure that we’re executing and playing our game, and don’t let them speed us up. A big key again is rebounding, making sure we’re getting rebounds. They execute really well off offensive rebounds for them, so we’ve got to make sure we limit their boards, and just make sure we’re playing our game, and stay composed. A gold ball to finish out my fourth year would be the most amazing thing I could ask for,” said Ripley, senior guard.

Friday’s tipoff is at 6:05 p.m. at Bangor’s Cross Insurance Center.
