Wisdom wins Class S North girls basketball championship

BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - Wisdom defeated Katahdin, 41-26, to win the Class S North Championship.

“It’s something words can’t descibe. It’s a feeling I haven’t been able to feel before. We’ve had too many heartbreaks on this floor. Coming into my senior year, we said ‘we’ve got to have a net around our neck at the end of this.’ Sure enough this morning, it came to us. We’ve been working hard for it,” said Ava Lerman, senior guard.

The Pioneers will play Valley in the state championship on Saturday at 11:05 a.m. at the Augusta Civic Center.
