Lawrence advances past Ellsworth to Class B North Championship

BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - The Lawrence Bulldogs defeated the Ellsworth Eagles, 47-42, to move on to the Class B North Championship.

“I think just going on runs (helped us) and our defense, we just had to get some stops. (Ellsworth) just defends well. They hit some big shots in big moments. They’re a very tough team, so definitely credit to Ellsworth,” said Maddie Provost, senior guard.

The Bulldogs will face the winner of No. 1 Gardiner vs. No. 4 Presque Isle in the regional championship.

The Class B North Championship is schedule for Friday at 5 p.m. at Cross Insurance Center.
