Penobscot Valley beats previously-undefeated Bangor Christian in Class D North semifinals

BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - The Penobscot Valley Howlers knocked out the previously-undefeated Bangor Christian Patriots, 52-37, in the Class D North semifinals.
The Howlers lost to the Patriots three times in the regular season, but eliminated them come tourney time.
“It feels amazing. It’s just a testament to how hard we’ve been working because we’ve known all season long that we could beat that team. It was just about coming together at the right time, and it’s very clear that we did, so it just feels amazing,” said Rylee Moulton, senior guard.
The Howlers will face the No. 2 Machias Bulldogs in the regional championship on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Cross Insurance Center.
