FRENCHVILLE, Maine (WABI) - A Frenchville Republican has filed to run against Sen. Susan Collins in next year’s primary, according to the Sun Journal.

Daniel Smeriglio, 42, filed the paperwork on Friday.

Smeriglio currently runs Voice of the People USA Radio and Activist Group.

According to the paper, Smeriglio calls himself “a lifelong Republican with an anti-establishment stance.”

Last week, Phillip Rench, 37, of Waterboro announced he would be running as an independent.

Rench is a former engineer at SpaceX.

Collins has indicated that she will run for a sixth term, but she has not officially made the announcement.
