Mills urges those impacted by December’s storm to apply for financial assistance

AUGUSTA, Maine (WABI) - Gov. Janet Mills is urging Mainers and businesses impacted by December’s storm to apply for financial assistance.

Federal Emergency Management Agency Disaster Survivor Assistance Teams are in Maine to help impacted individuals and families in five counties apply for assistance.

There are also low-interest loans available to help impacted businesses and homeowners repair or replace property damage.

Businesses could also be eligible for capital loans.

FEMA and the state are expected to announce the opening of several Disaster Recovery Centers in the coming days.
