PORTLAND, Maine (WMTW) - The powerful winds early Wednesday pushed a parked airplane into a jet bridge at the Portland International Jetport.
Southwest Airlines says a Boeing 737 MAX8 was parked at 4:35 a.m. when winds pushed the plane, causing the left wing to hit the jet bridge.
No one was on board the plane at the time.
Southwest Airlines maintenance personnel is responding, and the airline is sending another plane to Portland to help passengers get out.
The Jetport did report wind gusts of over 60 mph Wednesday morning.
