Truck falls 45 feet off bridge in Portland; 3 hospitalized

PORTLAND, Maine (WMTW) - Three people have been taken to Maine Medical Center after a truck went off a bridge in Portland.

The truck went through a guard rail and off Tukey’s Bridge while heading northbound. It landed on a section of roadway below the bridge and at the edge of flooding.

Officials told Maine’s Total Coverage those who were hospitalized did not appear to have life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses at the scene ran to the area to help the three people out of the truck.
