Storm causes damage in Bangor
BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - The power of the storm was evident on Fern Street in Bangor Wednesday morning.
Known in the city as one of the “tree streets,” a large one fell into a driveway onto vehicles and into lines.
No one was hurt.
Trish Clark lives there.
She described what it was like when it all happened.
“It wasn’t really like a crack or anything as you might expect from a tree. It was more of a rushing of wind. And I have a couple of pets that noticed it actually before I did, so pretty surprising for a tree this large. It came down, and my poor daughter’s vehicle took a hit. So, we’re processing through that,” Clark said. “So, I’m trying to be positive. I guess there’s always an opportunity to learn. Like things like insurances and coverages, learned a lot this morning. And how to take care of the tree. You know, pending how it has fallen and my trees gotten into the line. So, I immediately called Versant.”
Those Versant crews are busy again.
Crews were working near Kenduskeag Avenue and Harlow Street in Bangor. The heavily traveled part of the city was closed for a short time because of trees down on lines.
It reopened around 11 a.m. Wednesday
