WATERVILLE, Maine - A fire that destroyed a restaurant in downtown Waterville was determined to be accidental in nature.

Video taken by a person living in the area shows flames shooting out of windows at The Last Unicorn restaurant around 4 a.m.

Firefighters confirm the restaurant was destroyed.

Heavy machinery was brought in hours after flames broke out to begin taking down what was left behind.

Three firefighters suffered minor injuries, they were all treated and released.

Neighboring buildings sustained some smoke damage, according to responders.

The Last Unicorn was located between the Silver Street Tavern and Cancun Mexican bar and grill.

Firefighters from multiple communities in central Maine were also called to the scene.
