Route 2 near Miller Hill in Hermon now open after crash
HERMON, Maine (WABI) - Route Two near the Annis Road in Hermon is back open after a crash Wednesday morning.
It’s the latest in a string of accidents in the area recently.
The road was closed for several hours after police say a car crossed the center line and hit two other cars head on.
Everyone involved was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
A woman driving one of the cars went down an embankment but she was able to walk up the hill and make it back to the road.
Penobscot County Staff Sgt. Gary Decker says they don’t know what caused this crash but is urging people to always pay attention when driving.
”Slow down and stay off your phones and don’t be distracted when you’re driving. We’re seeing a lot of that being the issue with the crashed we are seeing here,” said Decker.
Decker says the sun could have also been a factor in the crash but it’s still unknown at this time.
