Construction begins at new Northern Light Health Blue Hill Hospital
BUE HILL, Maine (WABI) - Construction for the new Northern Light Hospital in Blue Hill is officially underway.
Northern Light officials expect demolition of the Water Street side of the facillity by late May or early June with the rest of the old hospital to be demolished after the new one is built.
The Water Street entrance to the hospital has been blocked off, and the hospital is asking anyone who needs access to use the Parker Point Road entrance.
”The community, please be on the lookout for any updates on our website for any changes to the access to the facitlity because we want to make sure that they’re safe, and our construction teams are safe, and our patients are safe,” John Ronan, Northern Light Blue Hill Hospital president.
Construction of the new hospital is scheduled to be completed in 2023.
