BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - Bangor Police are asking for your help identifying a suspect they believe was involved in a burglary over the weekend.

Officers say this surveillance video was captured outside of the Corner Store on Hammond Street Saturday night.

Bangor Police believe this person may also be responsible for a burglary at Fairmount Market around the same time.

TV5 spoke to the owner of Fairmount Market, Dan Tremble, who says their alarm system may have scared the suspect away.

He’s not sure how long it will take to get the large, broken window out front replaced.

“Other than a broken window, we were pretty lucky here. Nobody got hurt. It was the middle of the night. The store’s been here 100 years. I’ve been here for over 25 years, and we’ve had very few, very, very few issues. To have something like this happen, you know, it’s an annoyance and a nuisance, but those things happen when you’re in business, I guess,” said Tremble.

Fairmount Market and the Corner Store are just two of the most recent targets in a series of break-ins around the Queen City this month.

Elite Auto on Hammond Street reported a burglary early last Monday.

On Wednesday, Epic Sports was also vandalized.

If you have information about these incidents or any others, you’re urged to contact the Bangor Police Department.
