BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - Police are investigating a series of burglaries over the past few weeks.

The latest were multiple “smash and grabs” of local businesses over night.

The Corner Store and Fairmount Market both were broken into Saturday night.

A number of other businesses including Epic Sports were broken into recently as well.

They say the only things that have been reported stolen Saturday night were cigarettes.

The owner of Fairmount Market, Dan Tremble, says he believes the alarm system scared off any potential burglars last night.

”It’s a big piece of glass to replace so I don’t know how long it’s going to take to get the piece of glass in but hopefully they’ll figure out who did this and they’ll learn a lesson hopefully,” said Tremble.

Bangor Police say they have one female suspect for this most recent string of burglaries.

If you can identify this person or have any information, you are urged to contact the Bangor Police Department.
