ELLSWORTH, Maine (WABI) - A Trenton man was arrested Tuesday night after police say he ran someone over and held a woman against her will.

Thirty-five-year-old Matthew Milliken is facing a number of charges including kidnapping, robbery, and assault with a deadly weapon.

The Ellsworth Police Department says around 8 p.m., they got called to High Street for a reported stabbing and a person that had been run over by a pick-up.

They say the driver of that truck exited the vehicle while it was moving because Milliken, a passenger, was threatening him with a weapon.

Police say Milliken then ran him over and continued on with a female passenger.

Ellsworth Police say a sheriff’s deputy stopped the truck on Main Street and Milliken was then tased and taken in custody.

Police say the female was uninjured, but the driver of the truck was taken to a hospital.

This case remains under investigation.
