WATERVILLE, Maine (WABI) - Nearly 100 Waterville-area high school seniors and their families gathered Thursday evening to celebrate the completion of their studies.

Waterville Senior High School’s graduation was held at Central Maine Motors, once again.

They held a similar celebration last year, with some COVID-19 restrictions in place.

Each graduate was able to have two vehicles at the ceremony so more loved ones could join in-person, if they wished.

After a challenging school year for students, staff say they are happy that they can send graduates off with a celebration they won’t forget.

”Helen Keller said the best and most beautiful things in the world can not be seen or touched. It must be felt with the heart. The class of 2021 certainly touched many hearts for the past four years, especially mine,” Waterville Senior High School Principal, Brian Laramee told the crowd.

Seniors and staff say they are so grateful the Gaunce family gave up their car lot for the ceremony.

The ceremony was livestreamed on Facebook by 107.9 The Mix.
