BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - A disturbance moving across the region this evening will bring a chance of a few isolated showers. Most areas should stay dry with the best chance of rain along the coast and the southwest. Expect variable cloudiness and lows that will drop into the 40s & low 50s.

Some of those showers will carry over into early Saturday morning, but will quickly end as the disturbance moves offshore. Otherwise expect increasing sunshine and highs that will be right around average in the upper 60s & low 70s.

By Sunday, it will be sunny and warmer. Coastal locales will have highs in the upper 60s & low 70s and interior spots could get very close to the 80° mark.  Low pressure will approach the region by Sunday night. This will bring increasing clouds & rain chances by late Sunday.

Rain showers will stick around through about Wednesday morning as the low pressure system will stall out over the region. Highs into next week will remain in the 60s & 70s.

TONIGHT: Variable cloudiness with a few isolated showers. Lows in the 40s & 50s with a southerly wind around 5-10 mph.

SATURDAY: A few early morning showers, otherwise skies will clear & conditions will dry out. Highs are headed for the 70s interior and upper 60s & low 70s along the coast. SW wind around 5-15 mph.

SUNDAY: Mostly sunny skies & warmer. Highs will be mainly in the 70s with a few spots close to 80°. Late day clouds and even some evening showers as a disturbance moves in.

MONDAY: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers around the region. Highs will be mainly in the 60s with a few low 70s.

TUESDAY: Scattered showers continue. Highs in the 60s and low 70s.

WENESDAY: A few early morning showers before conditions dry out and skies brighten. Highs will be in the 60s & 70s.
