Bangor man sentenced in federal court for credit union robbery
Earl Torrence pleaded guilty in February.
BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - A Bangor man will spend more than three years in prison for robbing a credit union.
Earl Torrence, 44, was sentenced Friday in federal court.
He pleaded guilty in February.
According to court records, Torrence entered the Acadia Federal Credit Union in Bangor last June.
He told the teller he had a gun and demanded money.
Torrence was arrested at his home a short while later.
As part of his sentence, he must also repay $1,950.
