Waterville police searching for man, woman following home invasion
WATERVILLE, Maine (WABI) - Waterville police are searching for a man and woman after a home invasion Wednesday morning.
Police got a call around 6 a.m. that a man and woman entered a home on South Grove Street.
The police chief says the homeowners saw the two inside, there was a brief struggle, and shots were fired.
It’s unclear who fired the shots.
No one was hurt.
The two people fled the home before police arrived.
The chief says the fact that the two had a gun is very concerning.
”For someone to be seriously injured or shot, there’s a significant risk, and so, we’re working through what led up to it and working to identify who entered the home,” said Waterville Police Chief Joseph Massey.
State Police are assisting in the search.
Police are not releasing descriptions of the suspects at this time.
