BAR HARBOR, Maine (WABI) - Acadia National Park was not immune to the damage all that weather brought to the region.

Here is a picture park rangers put out Wednesday of the Carriage Road.

They say the damage was so bad that intersections 11 and 13 may be closed for up to two months so they can be repaired and restabilized.

Also, there is no access to the Schoodic Pennisula or the entire network of bike paths across the peninsula due to extensive road damage.

Rangers are monitoring the progress of repairs and access, particularly for visitors staying at Schoodic Woods Campground.

They also recommend hikers take caution along trails since staff are still assessing damage and flooding around the park.
