BRUNSWICK, Maine (WMTW) - The Navy’s Blue Angels will return to Maine this summer as part of the Great State of Maine Air Show.

The Blue Angels will headline the air show on Sept. 4 and Sept. 5 at the Brunswick Executive Airport in Brunswick.

Organizers of the air show said it is the Blue Angels’ only appearance in New England this year.

It will be their first performance in Maine since the 2017 Great State of Maine Air Show.

The Blue Angels will fly their new F-18 Super Hornet aircraft, organizers said.

“We are extremely pleased that Brunswick Executive Airport will once again host The Great State of Maine Airshow, featuring the Blue Angels and other notable aerial performers,” Midcoast Regional Redevelopment Authority Executive Director Steve Levesque said in a statement. “We are very excited to work with The Air Show Network to put on this spectacular event in mid-coast Maine.”

Tickets for the air show will go on sale July 6.
