3 more Mainers died with coronavirus, 55 new cases

One resident each in Kennebec, Sagadahoc and York counties passed away with the virus

Maine (WABI) - There are now more than 50,000 confirmed cases of coronavirus in our state since the pandemic began.

Three more Mainers died with the virus- one resident each from Kennebec, Sagadahoc and York counties.

There are 55 newly recorded cases, according to the Maine CDC.

We’re averaging nearly 73 cases daily for the last week.

68,384 total cases since the pandemic began, according to the Maine CDC. 50,021 are confirmed.

Overall deaths now stand at 843.

26 patients are in critical care. 13 are on ventilators.

Kennebec County showing nine new cases, that’s the most of any county.

Penobscot County recording the second highest with eight additional cases.

Piscataquis and Sagadahoc counties showing no increases in cases.
