Maine Veterans Project hosting job fair
BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - The Maine Veterans Project is hoping an upcoming job fair will help take down some of the “Help Wanted” signs in our state.
Earlier this month, the Maine Veterans Project helped veterans with resumes and mock job interviews in preparation for next Friday’s job fair.
At least 20 companies in construction, health care, retail, financial, engineering, and more will be there looking to hire.
It’s free to attend.
Organizers say there’s never been a better time to be looking for a job.
”Right now these people are screaming for employees. So some of the best jobs I’ve ever seen are hanging there like shiny apples just waiting to be picked,” said Doc Goodwin, Maine Veterans Project.
The Maine Veterans Project Job Fair is next Friday, June 18.
It takes place from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Cole Land Transportation Museum in Bangor.
