LIVERMORE FALLS, Maine (WMTW) - Police in Livermore Falls said a 6-year-old boy took an SUV for a joyride and crashed over the weekend.

The incident was reported Saturday night on Pleasant Street.

Police said the boy drove up and down the road but lost control while doing a u-turn.

The SUV got stuck between a utility pole and a building.

According to police, the boy’s caregiver told them the child went to bed at about 8 p.m. but later got up and took the keys to the SUV off of a nightstand.

Police said no one was hurt.
