BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - There was a scary scene in Bangor just before noon Wednesday.

Bangor police say a Levant man broke into two homes, assaulting one of the homeowners.

Thirty-four-year-old Lance Bradford was arrested by police after they say he climbed onto the roof of a home then fell after attempting to jump onto the roof of the house next door.

They say a neighbor called police after Bradford broke into the first home on West Broadway and assaulted the homeowner.

The victim told police he did not know Bradford.

Police say after a struggle, the victim ran to a neighbor’s house.

That’s when Bradford reportedly took off and broke into a home on the corner of Pier Street and West Broadway.

Police say Bradford crawled out of a second floor window, climbed to the roof, and tried to jump to the neighboring home’s roof.

He’s being held at Penobscot County Jail and faces multiple charges.
