AUGUSTA, Maine (WABI) - The Maine CDC says four more people have died with COVID-19 in the state. Another 700 cases are also being reported to start 2021.

A woman in her 80s and a man in his 90s from Washington County died, along with a woman her in 80s in Penobscot County and a woman in her 90s in Cumberland County. Total deaths are now at 351.

Cases overall stand at 24,901 and 21,144 are confirmed.

A spokesperson for the Maine CDC says because of some computer issues Friday, the case counts for each county are not available right now.

We do know 30,877 Mainers have received a COVID-19 vaccine as of the beginning of the new year.

That’s an increase of more than 3,000 from Thursday.

The Department of Health and Human Services says the state placed its fifth order Thursday for more doses, too.

The order will allow for another 17,075 Mainers to be vaccinated against the virus.
