SANFORD, Maine (WMTW) - The intense hail that hit York County on Tuesday damaged hundreds of cars at a car dealership.

Marc Motors owner Marc Greenberg said all 900 of the vehicles at his Sanford dealership were damaged in the hail storm.

Two to 4 inches of hail piled up during the storm.

Greenberg said six vehicles had broken windshields.

“You looked out and it looked like the sky was falling. It was dark, windy, loud. It was quite eerie. It was right out of a movie, a horror movie,” Greenberg said.

Greenberg did not have an estimate on the damage as of Wednesday because he was still waiting to hear from the insurance company.

He said he is offering discounts on sales of the damaged vehicles and had sold some of the cars Wednesday.
