A man accused of killing a husband and wife in Webster Plantation appeared in court Monday.
31-year-old Nathaneal Nightingale is charged with two counts of murder in the November deaths of Michael and Valerie Miller.
No plea was entered on Monday, while the state continues to prepare documents in the case.
They're expecting to move forward in the next two weeks.
Nightingale is being held without bail at the Penobscot County Jail.
