The Maine Black Bears had a huge win last night over the #1 team in the conference UNH. After trailing by two goals the Black Bears scored three times to get the impressive win. Tonight, Maine went for the weekend sweep of the Wildcats.

In a game you could see right here on TV 5, another packed Alfond Arena on hand for Maine/UNH.

Late in the first it was 1-0 Wildcats when Peter Leblanc scores for UNH to put them up 2-0. Sounds familiar right?

Once again the second period is when the Black Bears wake up. Brian Flynn scores an unlikely goal off Brian Foster's backside to make it 2-1. Then less than a minute later, Robby Dee, the hero from last night, scores to make tie it up at two. The Black Bears come back again.

Then, with 90 seconds left in the second, Theo Anderson beats Foster to give Maine the 3-2 lead heading into the break. You could tell from watching the game that that goal crushed the wildcats.

Less than five minutes into the third, Joey Diamond puts it past Foster to put Maine up 4-2. UNH would get a goal to make it 4-3, but Maine would grab two more down the stretch for the 6-3 win over the Wildcats. Another come-from-behind win for the Black Bears. They sweep the weekend series and are tied with Boston College for second place in Hockey East.
