Residents of Jackson piled into the community center Saturday morning to vote on a proposed wind farm ordinance.

The special vote was the result of a petition filed by a group of residents.

Members of the planning board spent more than a year researching and developing the wind power ordinance.

The ordinance includes restrictions on four classes of turbines, including minimum setback requirements.

When all the ballots were counted, 111 residents voted to approve the regulations on wind farm projects...75 voted against the ordinance.
